This event commemorates the victory of the majorero against the English invaders in 1740. Celebrated between September 25 and October 16, the Fiesta de San Miguel is reenacted at Gran Tarajal and Tarajalejo town. The highlights of this event include the historical reenactment, verbenas, dances, live music and other cultural events.
Town Fiesta
Held yearly on May 8, the Tarajalejo town fiesta celebrates the Sacred Heart. The town square hosts this event.
Fuerteventura Festival
As part of the Fuerteventura Island , Tarajalejo also celebrates festivals in honor of the two patron saints - the Fiesta de San Buenaventura and Romeria de la Virgen de la Peña.
